Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains what the Zattle Discord bot, its dashboard and its website store, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. We keep only what the features need, and we never sell data.
The short version
- We store server settings and the records Zattle's features create (moderation cases, tickets, giveaways).
- We do not save your messages to a database. Messages pass through the bot in memory so commands, AutoMod and logs can work.
- We store Discord IDs (long numbers), not your email address, password or payment details.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see “Deleting your data” below.
What we store
For every server Zattle is in
- Server settings — the server ID, prefix, language, and the configuration of each system (for example channel and role IDs, welcome messages, AutoMod rules, custom commands and sticky messages written by the server's staff).
- Change history — which staff member (by Discord ID) changed which setting, when, and whether it was done in Discord or the dashboard.
- Moderation cases — case number, action (warn, timeout, kick, ban…), the member's and moderator's Discord IDs, the reason, duration and date.
- Tickets — ticket number, channel ID, who opened, claimed and closed it, priority, the answers given to the ticket's questions, the close reason, an optional 1–5 rating, and a link to the transcript. Transcripts themselves are uploaded as a file to the server's own log channel on Discord; we don't keep a copy.
- Giveaways — prize, settings, winners, and the Discord IDs of members who entered.
- Other feature records — saved Builder drafts, Join to Create voice rooms (channel and owner IDs), and social alert feeds (the public YouTube or Twitch channel followed and the last video or stream posted).
For people
- Your Discord user ID appears in the records above when you are involved in them (for example as a ticket opener or a giveaway entrant).
- Dashboard login — when you log in with Discord we keep a session for up to 7 days containing your user ID, username, avatar, a Discord access token (scopes
identifyandguilds) and the list of servers you are in, so we can show which ones you manage. Logging out deletes it. - Zattle Pro — if you link Patreon, we store your Patreon user and membership IDs, your tier, membership status, the amount and next charge date Patreon reports, and which servers you activated Pro on. Payments are handled entirely by Patreon; we never see card details.
Short-lived data
Some things are kept only briefly in a fast cache (Redis) and expire automatically: command cooldowns, AutoMod strike counters (7 days), raid-detection counters, verification captcha attempts, sticky message positions, and cached server, channel and role lists for the dashboard (seconds to a day). Recently seen messages (at most the last 100 per channel) are held in the bot's memory for up to 30 minutes so edit and delete logs can show what changed; they are never written to disk.
Logs
Our servers write technical logs (errors, which command ran, server and user IDs) to help us fix problems. They are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider and are not used for anything else.
Why we use it
Only to run the features you or your server's staff turn on: applying settings, keeping a moderation history, running tickets and giveaways, applying Pro to the right servers, and keeping the service secure and working. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not build profiles of you.
Who can see it
- Server staff can see their own server's settings and records, in Discord and in the dashboard (the dashboard only opens for members with the Manage Server permission).
- The Zattle team can access stored data to operate and support the service.
- Service providers that run Zattle for us: Discord (the platform itself), Patreon (for Pro), our hosting and database providers, and Cloudflare (website delivery and protection). YouTube and Twitch are contacted only to read public channel information for alerts.
- We will share data with authorities only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Dashboard sessions: up to 7 days, or until you log out.
- Cache entries: seconds to 7 days, as listed above.
- Server data: for as long as the server uses Zattle. If Zattle is removed from a server, you can ask us to delete that server's data straight away; otherwise it may be kept so settings are still there if the bot is added back.
- Pro records: while your membership is active, plus what we need for a short grace period.
Deleting your data
Contact us through the contact details on zattle.xyz. Tell us whether the request is for yourself (your Discord user ID) or for a server you own or manage (the server ID). We may ask you to confirm that the account or server is yours, for example by sending the request from that account in our support server.
- Server data: we delete the server's settings and every record attached to it (cases, tickets, giveaways, drafts, feeds, history). This cannot be undone.
- Your data: we delete your Pro and Patreon link records and your dashboard sessions, and we remove or anonymise your user ID in other records where we can. Some records belong to a server's moderation history (for example a ban case naming you); we will tell you if a server's staff need to be involved.
We handle requests within 30 days. You can also log out of the dashboard at any time to end your session.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, access to our databases is restricted, and dashboard sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Children
Zattle is for Discord users, and Discord requires users to be at least 13 (or older where local law says so). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For significant changes we will also announce them in our support server.
